    Our sail boat

    ODILE - a 12 Meter Sailing Boat

Odile is a sailing yacht built by the French shipyard Dufour Yachts, model D40 Performance. It features elegant lines and excellent sailing performance — lively and responsive, ideal for fast cruising.

The keel's draft of 2.10 meters ensures great sailing efficiency, especially when sailing upwind.

The hull has modestly flared topsides, a low freeboard, and only slightly pronounced overhangs. The low, streamlined coachroof leaves ample space for the wide side decks, which merge forward of the mast where the deck is completely free of obstructions.

The cockpit is spacious and welcoming, divided in two by the mainsheet traveler, which is located forward of the steering pedestal, separating the helm area from the guest seating area.

Below deck, the generous volumes are surprising: the high ceilings (1.95 meters) and the modest flare of the hull sides give the interior a very spacious feel.

The presence of numerous portholes ensures proper ventilation and highlights the warm tones of the Madei wood used for the furnishings.

The interior layout includes a double cabin in the bow (bed size 2.4 x 1.85 m) and two identical double cabins aft (bed size 1.95 x 1.30 m), served by two toilets.

The dinette, composed of two settees along the hull sides with a folding-leaf table in between, is large enough to accommodate up to 8 people and is well proportioned to the rest of the saloon. The larger settee in the dinette can be converted into a bed for two people.

To port, there is an L-shaped galley, complete with a double sink, top-loading fridge (no freezer), gimballed stove with oven, and plenty of spacious cabinets and drawers to store kitchen utensils, dishes, and food supplies.

Opposite the galley there is the Chart table area.
Under the companionway steps is the engine compartment, which houses a 55 HP Volvo-Penta engine with Sail-drive transmission, powered by a 160-liter stainless steel fuel tank.

The water system has excellent autonomy, with two independent 165-liter polyethylene tanks.

An enchanting experience thanks to Boat Tours in Palermo
Yesterday I spent a completely relaxing day. I had the opportunity to sail along the coast from Palermo, admiring some fantastic views. The silence and the swaying of the waves were the main attraction.
We concluded the crossing with a seafood dinner created in a fairytale atmosphere. Thanks to Ignazio and his staff.

We are a family of 5 from the USA and had an exceptional day on Ignazio's boat. We sailed comfortably from a marina in Palermo and stopped 2xs to swim. Our 3 sons loved it. We also enjoyed an incredible authentic Sicilian lunch that Ignazio expertly prepared while sailing. This was a perfect family excursion for us but would also be a romantic adventure for couples.

This last minute booking was worth every penny!! I can’t say enough great things about this adventure.

Having sailed around the world, this excursion along the coast of Palermo was one of the most relaxing, romantic and breathtaking experiences during our time in Sicily.

Captain, Ignazio and his crew were a wealth of knowledge sharing the stories of architectural history, local favorites and hidden gems.

We sailed to Mondello for a quick swim, snacked and cruised along the north coast with Prosecco chasing the sunset.

Communication was great, the boat -impeccably clean and service was exceptional.

It was the perfect end to our quick trip and recommend this specific sailing tour as a MUST!

Thank you so much to the crew. We will absolutely be back next trip!

Highly recommended is the cruise organized by Ignazio to the Egadi Islands. Professional and courteous, he hosted us on his splendid sailing boat around Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo to discover all the most beautiful coves. During the crossing (we left from the Marina Villa Igea tourist port in Palermo) we stopped to admire the Scopello stacks and take a swim in the Zingaro reserve (masks and fins available to admire the seabed). Excellent food and wonderful aperitifs at sunset.

My friends and I decided to book a day trip on a sailing boat for Saturday, June 7th. Among the many, we chose Odile, Ignazio's boat, a 12-meter cabin cruiser that took us first to Mondello and then, at sunset, to Isola delle Femmine. An experience that was nothing short of magical! Thanks to Ignazio's professionalism, kindness and courtesy, we spent a beautiful day: we enjoyed ourselves with continuous sea baths, sunbathing and delicious food. We also saw a family of dolphins and swordfish. An absolutely fantastic experience that I plan to repeat soon and that I highly recommend to anyone who hasn't tried it yet.

    A Gentleman Skipper
What a wonderful day we spent with dear friends, in the company of Ignazio, a truly gentleman skipper!
On board the Odile sailboat you immediately feel at ease: it is well maintained, with complete equipment and with all the necessary safety devices. The spaces are comfortable and equipped, making navigation comfortable. But what makes this experience truly unique is Ignazio: an expert, thoughtful skipper, with an open and friendly character.
Sailing on the Odile with its magnificent blue gennaker and a gentleman skipper at the helm is a memorable experience. We were also thrilled to see the dolphins playing in the waves and we ate really well on board.
An experience that I recommend to anyone who wants to experience the sea in an authentic way.

I have done many sailing trips... this is the best. We decided with a group of friends to go to the Egadi... and we chose Odile. A 12 meter boat... with which we reached San Vito the first night, followed by Marettimo Favignana and Levanzo. I had already visited all these places... but never arriving by boat. Sailing during the crossing and listening only to the sound of the waves... is an incredible sensory experience. For 5 days we were among the most beautiful bays... Punta Troia, Sea Fennel, Cala Rossa and Cala Tramontana, the Zingaro reserve as a swimming stop... and a passage to the wonderful Faraglioni of Scopello. On the boat there was never a lack of culinary delicacies that each of the passengers proposed around. The only stop was at the restaurant in Marettimo for the unsurpassed tuna Florentine. It was comfortable, pleasant, relaxing to be on the boat...and the last day...the return leg...we even sailed...22/25 knots of wind and it felt like we were on Luna Rossa. Our captain Ignazio was simply superb...impeccable in steering the boat and in accommodating the requests of even the most demanding passengers. We all disembarked enthusiastic about the beautiful holiday...honestly we would leave again immediately...because for those days you are truly out of the world and you experience the world. The only flaw...a bit of seasickness for a few days.

A beautiful day at sea from Addaura to Mondello, where we swam, and finally Capo Gallo and sunset at Isola delle Femmine. The boat is welcoming and the hospitality of the captain Ignazio excellent. We also saw swordfish jumping.

Beautiful day of sea and sun spent together. Courtesy and professionalism were fundamental elements to create the right atmosphere! The weather conditions allowed us to sail, a beautiful experience wrapped in silence with the background music created by the water and in front of us the sight of a swordfish dancing offshore. To conclude the evening a fresh aperitif at sunset in front of the magical islet of the females and then return at dusk ... me at the bow immersed in a magical atmosphere, between the moon, stars and the lights of the coast. A THANK YOU to Ignazio for his hospitality, kindness and professionalism !!
